Sleeping Beauty's Insomnia

Yup.. I'm having kinda an insomnia problem.

AND I DON'T EVEN KNOW THE REASON WHY!!!! WHY INSOMNIA??? WHY?? WHY ME??

Well, of course i'm not that muka tembok describing myself as a "Beauty". Overall... It's just a metaphor! My mum always claim that I'm a Sleeping Beauty (“睡美人”), because I can really sleep so well, so long, and so tightly! And... i sleep PIGGIE-LY & D-E-A-D-L-Y!! Hahaa! Malu ^.*

You know laa, she only gets the chance to see me on weekends; and due to my routine full time job previously,  weekends are the only time when I can sleep as much as I want to!! YUMMY!!! I enjoyed sleeping till 12pm until i N-A-T-U-R-A-L-L-Y awaken from my super tight sleep. I always feel relieved that I'm an easy-to-fall-asleep person. When it comes to the time I go onto my bed, I can fall asleep within minutes, and wake up the next morning smiling that I had a great sleep. Now you know why i'm 'metaphored' as a "Sleeping Beauty"!

It's been few weeks I feel like "Sleeping Beauty" is no longer herself! It was all started since I fell sick around  mid of June this year. Since then, I could hardly fall asleep at nights... So so so so bad... It takes me hell long to fall asleep and when I successfully does, I'll be awaken like...every 2-3 hours? Which is so distracting.. And the next morning, I'll be in tired mode and super moody..

Aihh.... After few weeks experiencing so, I really feel myself kinda not-healthy! It's like everything gone the wrong way, and my body alarm/clock just doesn't seems tiktok-ing as right as the real clock does. It makes me feel so wrong, and I could hardly work or enjoy my day time as good as i did before. Sometimes, I even feel so tired in the afternoon, and could fall sleep just anytime! Sometimes, I just feel my body and eyes damn damn tired and I couldnt even sleep/rest! SO GAN-KOR AHH!! I tried to adjust my time and body routine; no more coffee, no more noon nap, just wanna make sure myself get tired after a whole day long and hoping that I'll be tired at night and be managed to get a nice sleep. BUT I FAILED!!!!!! I just keep on rolling and rolling and rolling on my bed.....gosh.  


So this is what I'm doing lately..
1. Max. just 1 cup of Nescafe per day, and not everyday;
2. Fight with the sleeping desire at noon, try not to surrender for a noon nap
3. Lying with my Lavender mask on right before bed, sometimes;
4. Take 1 capfull of Yomeishu before bed;
5. Play some sleeping/relax melodies with timer on my iphone until I fall asleep.

But also some "melodies" type like Acoustic Guitar, Country Music, Sweet Memories, Romantic Evening, etc. WHICH SUITS MY STYLE MORE!! I'm more into music.. and I love and prefer to fall asleep with smooth jazz, or some light and easy listening melodies...

And guess what? It offers some kinda "lifestyle" sounds too, like Tokyo Street, London Subway, etc, and also Tibetan Meditation and Zen, if you like such.








It also comes with a considerate feature which allows you to set your Night and Wakeup timer! See? You can even choose to slowly fade your sleeping music out when it almost reaches the time you set!

Though now the situation seems a little little little better than weeks ago, I just hope i could get over this quickly... I miss my wonderful time with my warm blanket and my lovely pillows.. I miss my tight sleep!!! So so so much.....

hi there, I'm a new reader of your cute & cool blog. Yes, I agree we should not take a nap in the afternoons especially during weekends. Instead should hang out in Starbucks and get to know new friends :).
